-Supports Hydrochloric Acid Levels
-Promotes Absorption of Nutrients
-Supports Digestion

•Support Stomach Acid: Betaine support gastric acid secretion & natural acidic environment of stomach
•Digestive Health Support: Betaine hydrochloride support digestion and absorption of nutrients

As we age, we typically produce less hydrochloric acid
(HCI) which reduces our ability to efficiently absorb
nutrients from food. Reduced HCI production affects the
amount of protein and calcium we can absorb and can
interfere with bone metabolism. Incomplete protein
metabolism can imbalance intestinal flora. Taking
betaine hydrochloride helps promote absorption of
nutrients.

What are the symptoms of too little stomach acid?
Having low stomach acid puts you at an increased risk of intestinal infections like bacterial gastroenteritis (food poisoning) and small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO). SIBO is characterized by symptoms of bloating, abdominal pain, and nausea due to excess gas produced by bacteria in the small bowel

How long does it take to see results from betaine HCL?
In this 2013 study that appeared in the journal Molecular Pharmaceutics, researchers found "HCL starts to take effect just 6 minutes after being ingested". In addition, HCL works to support the acidity of the stomach, which is only important when your body is digesting a meal - and not before and not long after.

Can low stomach acid cause anxiety?
Low stomach acid is the culprit of a shocking number of negative symptoms, such as gas, bloating, bad breath, cravings, and even anxiety. In fact, you can trace almost any negative symptom you can think of to this commonly overlooked issue.

INTERESTING RESEARCH:
Used under medical supervision, Betaine HCl may help restore stomach acid levels and improve asthma symptoms. A study conducted many years ago showed that 80% of children with asthma had Hypochlorhydria (low stomach acid).
